The Daily Business Post is a brand new free daily news service from The Sunday Business Post. Staffed by existing reporters and editors from The Sunday Business Post, The Daily Business Post reports on, and analyses, important stories in the world of business, finance, technology, markets, media, marketing and personal finance.
DRG engaged with Vidappt to provide the design and UI for the project. The Business Post knew readers, need news in very different ways than before. As a result they wished to provide a completely new range of digital services, designed to give the business news their reader’s need, when they need it. The digital approach was to provide news on the web, on iPhone, on iPad and on other smartphones.
Designing the web and mobile platforms for The Business Post was a strategically focused and highly collaborative effort that touched on many aspects of the rapidly changing face of online news. Our task was to develop and implement fresh ideas for improving the news consumption experience from both a front-end and systems perspective. We worked closely with The Posts online editors, marketers and IT team to enhance workflow and develop more powerful and flexible ways to craft the news.
Intuitive Information Architecture, a crisp a slick user interface that would provide consistency of the user experience across all of the platforms whether desktop web, mobile web or native mobile applications was the order of the day!
